Car Crashes Into Activity Buses

Raleigh, NC Lawyer

Winston-Salem, NC -- More than a dozen people are recovering after a late night crash involving two activity buses and a passenger car, Saturday.

Winston-Salem Police say Abby Lynn Wood, driving a Honda Accord, crossed the center line on the 4600 block of Styers Ferry Road and hit a Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools activity bus, around 10:30pm Saturday night.

The bus hit a tree and the car spun into a second activity bus. West Forsyth High School band members were on the buses.

Theo Helm, representative for Forsyth County Schools, tells us that 6 students and one bus driver were transported to the hospital where they were treated and released.

Officers are still investigating the incident and aren't sure what caused Wood to cross the center line and crash into the buses.
