Police Blotter, Oct. 18, 2010 - Man faces DWI charge after hitting building.

WILMINGTON | A Wilmington man was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving Monday after he crashed his car into an apartment building, according to a news release from the Wilmington Police Department.

Colin Johnathon Butler, 21, is charged with DWI and careless and reckless driving. Butler has been released from New Hanover County jail after posting bond.

The accident happened about 2:30 a.m. Monday at 709 Summertime Lane in Cape Cottages. Police said the car went through the apartment's wall and into a bathroom closet. No one was injured.
