RALEIGH, N.C. - Tips from the public help Raleigh police make an arrest in a Jan. 1 hit and run.

Police have charged 19-year-old Virginia Dresser with felony hit and run and careless and reckless driving in connection to the accident.

On Jan. 1, a victim was hit by a car while walking along the 6300 block of Hillsborough Street in Raleigh. Police say Dresser stuck the victim with her car, which was believed to have been a red Mazda Miata.
